"It is no bad thing to celebrate a simple life."
Fun Facts:
My favourite season is Autumn. This is when Connemara's landscape turns the most beautiful burnt orange.
I have 7 cats, officially making me a crazy cat lady.
I have a large cat tattoo on my arm that I got a few years ago of Magni. I have since welcomed more cats into my life, a cat tattoo sleeve may be on the cards!
Hi there, Céad Míle Fáilte into the Cottage.
I live in Ireland's west coast wilderness; Connemara.
Irish Poet, Oscar Wilde once described Connemara as a 'savage beauty'. In this landscape, you can find every shade of orange here where blustery Atlantic sea air sweeps up sugared sand which is caressed over mint moss sprinkled stone walls that cradle grassy fields. Twelve peaked Mountains rise over sleepy lakes all bedded in copper Bogland.
Rooted in rural Ireland, I aspire to embrace slow living with cat companionship as we move through the seasons of nature and life.
Cats teach us the art of rest and observation. They remind us that stillness is not laziness but a way to recharge and reconnect. I want to lean into this and share it with you too.
Connemara Cat Cottage will be a home to stories of slow living, cottage cosiness, and cat companionship, sitting side by side. You’ll find seasonal reflections from rural Ireland, practical tips for caring for cats and honest reviews of products we actually use and love.
If you’ve ever felt the pull towards gentler living, or found yourself happiest with a cat curled up nearby, then this is your place too.
So, welcome to Connemara Cat Cottage. Me and the Cats are glad you’re here.
